Our first Sister School Exchange trip to Japan in November was an amazing success! Our 13 students had the opportunity to visit some historical sites including ground zero in Hiroshima. Our group visited our sister school, Y’Ko, and had the opportunity to make new friends while participating in special class activities.
At this point in the program, we are looking for host families from our Ideal Mini community to host our Japanese student guests when they come to Vancouver from February 15-20. 2017. During their exchange, they will be visiting Ideal Mini and Churchill Secondary and participating in special programs that we will have set up for our guests. We are still looking for a few more host families that are potentially able to host a Japanese student for these dates. It is open to families of our Grade 10, 11, or 12 students (possibly Grade 9).
