October Bulletin

Dear Ideal Community,

We are already 6 weeks into the first quarter!  The students are continuing to work hard and are transitioning well to the “new” learning system.  

Today, October 16, 2020, mid-quarter report cards have been posted on MyED. Your child will be able to access their report with their log in (student number) and their password. 

Please note the following report card dates:

Various virtual school clubs are now active on TEAMS. Club promotors have presented their club objectives and proposals to all of our Grade 8-11’s. Some of the activated clubs are: Our Club, Music Club, Wellness Club, STEM Club, Model UN Club, and more are being created.  If you are interested in creating a club, please speak to one of your teachers. If you are interested in joining a club, please talk to the sponsor teacher or club coordinator. 

Other important dates to note and gentle reminders:

October 23, 2020:  Professional Day; students DO NOT attend

School Cash is open. Please go to our school website at idealminischool.ca for the link on the top of the page.

October 28, 2020: Photo Retakes will be held at Ideal between 12-1:30. Please email Lu at lmooney@vsb.bc.ca if you want a retake.

November 3, 2020: Open House:  Due to the current climate, our traditional Open House will be “virtual”.  Our Leadership students are creating promotional videos and we are currently updating the Application Process.  The videos and updated application will be made available on or before November 3^rd.  However, all of our program details are on our school website in the “Admissions” Tab.  Please spread the word to any potential candidates. 

November 9, 2020: PAC meeting at 7pm.

November 11, 2020: Remembrance Day; NO School

November 18, 2020:  Quarter 2 begins. Your child will be informed before the start of Q2 which learning group session they must attend.

November 27, 2020: Professional Day: students DO NOT attend
